Royal Enfield has a new teaser video for their Himalayan motorbike that was recently mentioned on !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . And one of the concerns was what kind of quality will the bike possess. Well apparently, Royal Enfield released a teaser video over the weekend that might answer that question:

And as a couple of outlets have noticed.. if you watch their teaser video, at 1:50 into the vid, when the bike takes a small jump- the right foot peg breaks off on the landing... you see it hit the dirt (and the rider doing a “wtf??” immediately afterwards)... And keep in mind, this is THEIR video!

What’s the Indian word for “Fail”?

yeah I saw that, so not very confidence inspiring right off the bat. It’s a shame because I like the looks and general concept of a light-ADV bike.

Some of the manufactures should start offering ADV versions of their dual sports. Add on some luggage system, a larger fuel tank, a fairing or windscreen, and improve the ergos and seat for longer hauls. Thats pretty much what a lot of the RTW guys do just with aftermarket parts.
